Describe the question
Hi n8n community,
I’m new here and considering using n8n at my company. We’re planning to start with the self-hosted Free plan to test things out, but I’m a bit stuck on the legal/compliance side of things.
I’ve read through the main Terms of Service and the Sustainable Use License, but I’m not 100% sure how they apply to a self-hosted.
- Terms of Service: n8n Legal
- Sustainable Use License: Sustainable Use License | n8n Docs
Could anyone clarify which documents are the correct ones for the self-hosted Free plan? I’m trying to find the official Terms and DPA for this specific setup.
My main questions are:
- For a self-hosted, does n8n (the company) have any technical access to the data we process in our workflows?
- If any data gets sent back to n8n, what kind of information is included, and how is it covered by a DPA?
Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
