Hey everyone,
I just finished high school and I’m putting serious time into learning AI automation — I can already write basic Python/JS, and I’ve been building small n8n workflows on my own to get the fundamentals down. What I don’t have yet is the thing tutorials can’t teach: experience working on something real, with someone who’s actually shipped automations for clients.
So here’s my ask — I want to work under a senior builder on an actual project, even unpaid to start. Not looking to be carried — I’ll do the legwork, debug things myself first, and show up prepared. I just want the kind of feedback loop you only get from someone who’s done this professionally.
A couple of ways this could work, happy to go either direction:
- You’ve got something in motion — a client workflow, an internal tool, anything with real constraints — and could use an extra set of hands for the grunt work (node wiring, testing, documentation, whatever’s tedious for you but a great rep for me).
- We build something from scratch together — I’ve got a few ideas I’m itching to prototype (e.g. an AI-powered lead-qualification flow that triages inbound leads and drafts first-touch replies, or a workflow that turns messy spreadsheet ops into a clean automated pipeline). Open to scrapping any of these if you’ve got a sharper idea worth chasing.
What I bring: actual coding ability (not just drag-and-drop familiarity), fast iteration, and the time to put in real hours — I’m not juggling a job around this right now, this *is* the focus.
If any of this sounds useful to you, feel free to reply below — happy to talk through specifics in the thread.
Thanks for reading this far.
