I would like to use the PostgreSQL MCP Server custom node referenced in this official workflow:

However, when I import the workflow into n8n Cloud, it shows the error:
“This node is not currently installed. It is either from a newer version of n8n, a custom node, or has an invalid structure.”

Is it possible to install or activate this node in my n8n Cloud instance?

What is the error message (if any)?

Not applicable – the workflow can’t run without the custom node.

  • Database (default: SQLite): Not applicable (Cloud)
  • n8n EXECUTIONS_PROCESS setting (default: own, main): Cloud default
  • Running n8n via (Docker, npm, n8n cloud, desktop app): n8n Cloud
  • Operating system: n8n Cloud (hosted)

They are working on adding some “verified” community nodes to n8n cloud, but there is a process for verification. See the responses to this feature request for updated status.
