# Searching community nodes by resource/operation (incl. unverified ones)

Back in March, @Rishabh_Dugar asked [How to search community n8n nodes by resource or operation?]([How to search community n8n nodes by resource or operation?](https://community.n8n.io/t/how-to-search-community-n8n-nodes-by-resource-or-operation/271587)). The answer at the time: verified nodes can be searched in the editor, but for unverified ones you’re stuck with npm keyword search and clicking through READMEs. That thread is closed now, so here’s a new one for anyone with the same problem.

I built a free index that pulls every npm package tagged `n8n-community-node-package` and parses the resource/operation options out of the published node code:

- Search by app or by action, e.g. “send whatsapp message” or “create notion page”

- Per package: weekly downloads, last publish date, whether it’s in n8n’s verified directory, and the list of operations

- Lists of new packages, fastest growing, and possibly abandoned ones (3,189 with no publish in 12+ months)

Current numbers: 11,552 live packages, 1,417 verified, operations parsed for 2,621. Parsing is automatic, so some nodes show no operations or a slightly wrong app name. If you maintain a node and something looks off, reply here and I’ll fix the parser.

It isn’t affiliated with n8n. It’s just meant to make the npm side easier to search. Feedback on what would help you pick a community node is very welcome.
