I’m running self-hosted in queue mode. Right now the workers are pretty minimal in their configuration, but I was thinking about SMTP. I have SMTP configured on the main node, but should the workers also have this configured and if so, should they utilize SMTP off the main node or from themselves?
I don’t think the workers would need the SMTP configuration variables (as these are used exclusively for user management purposes AFAIK), but perhaps @krynble can confirm this with certainty

You are correct @MutedJam , workers don’t need SMTP in their settings.
The main n8n instance uses those settings to send invite and reset password emails only, and workers do not perform any of those actions, so you can leave it out @mbowler
