"Socket timeout" on AI Agent

Running into a new issue since upgrading from 1.72.1 to 1.73.1 where an AI Agent will time out after taking 5 minutes. Thats unfortunately too late for my workflow since the webhook only waits for 3 mins, if we could have a timeout field for AI Agents that would be a great workaround

Information on your n8n setup

  • n8n version: 1.73.1
  • Database (default: SQLite): Postgres
  • Running n8n via (Docker, npm, n8n cloud, desktop app): Docker
  • Executions mode: Queue

Edit: Wow nevermind this was literally added lol still weird that this keeps happening even after rolling back though..

Same error here. When I run my flow, it gets stuck on the first AI agent, and I receive a timeout error: ‘Socket timeout.’

So this seems to have originated from an OpenAI “outage” which appeared on the status page later yesterday. It has now disappeared from the status page and it hasn’t come up in the last 9 hours
