Switch between AI assistant and human intervention in N8N connected with WhatsApp and Instagram

Hi community! You might know if this is possible with N8N.

We are looking for a way to pause the AI assistant so a human (our customer) could intervene in the conversation.

The goal is to let the AI answer people’s queries in WhatsApp and Instagram but when needed, trigger some kind of notification to a human and stop the AI to let our customer follow the conversation.

In case you know how to do this, how could my customer reactivate the AI assistant without needing us?

Hi @Julian_Tutusaus,

unfortunately, we don’t support this (yet). As of now we’ve implemented a send-and-wait feature for our Slack and Gmail tool nodes.

But we’re working on implementing a similar feature to allow for chat-interventions, like you mentioned :slight_smile:

respond chat message, similar multi-step forms , might add multi-chat to have these interaction, but that’s not something we have ready (yet) :slight_smile:
