I’m on the cloud trail plan and testing n8n-MCP for windsurf. can you temporarily enable API token access?

As of now:

MCP itself is not publicly exposed via a dedicated API that you can call with a token.

Access to MCP is currently limited to certain OpenAI partner implementations, like ChatGPT’s internal tooling (e.g. when used with apps, files, tools, or memory).

You might be able to use your OpenAI API key with function calling** to build context-aware workflows in n8n that behave similarly to MCP integrations.
