I just signed up for a trial and I’m trying to follow the AI instructions to build a test project. It keeps giving me bad instructions. I’m getting very frustrated.
Some examples are:
Telling me to use a menu that doesn’t exists, or is some place different that it said, or the menu exists but that option doesn’t.
Telling me to manually create a resource, but then later telling me it already exists.
Telling me to do/create something and it doesn’t behave like it says.
Giving me URLs that lead to 404 errors.
Unclear or just plain wrong instructions.
I’m not getting a very good first impression. I’d like some human help.
Not intending to be snarky, but if I knew what kind of help I needed I probably would no longer need help. I started a project, telling the AI what I wanted and it doesn’t work. Every time it fails the AI says some form of “I got this” but it’s wrong every time.
Also, earlier I learned that I had a very limited amount of monthly credits with the helper AI, which have run out so no more help available. This seems like a big oversight, not allowing new users much access to the bot.
Anyhow, it was running in circles anyway, falsely identifying a data table name having invalid characters, having me ‘fix’ it, then looping right back around to repeat the fix that wasn’t a fix at all.

I understand the cloud AI sometimes does not produce accurate results depending on the situation and the type of information it received from your instance, as n8n is relatively new and it covers a very broad range of services and automation so training an AI model to be very specific to your problem is not possible in this time, if you want good support related to your n8n instance what i recommend is that you should use what i use which is n8n-mcp it pretty much attaches to every AI Model provider and works really well with the context, and also using the docs AI would help. Considering AI help is like considering an advice on how to see from a blind person as this is not reliable, consider using below 2 only for reference:
