I have plenty of experience setting up n8n in a self-hosted configuration for client projects.
I’d love to start getting my clients on the cloud, but I’m having trouble managing and updating n8n versions.
My clients prefer to be the “owner” so they can handle billing information, so I ask them to create an n8n account and a new project, adding me (the consultant) as an Admin.
However, i’m unable to update n8n version number (as of 1.108). Am I missing something in the UI?
If it’s not possible to for a non-owner to update cloud projects, what’s the best practice for a consultant to setup their client projects (with the client retaining ownership and billing responsibilities).
Note: It’s a hard requirement for me to be able to update the n8n version, my clients pay me to manage the systems, so I cannot be asking my non-technical clients to update n8n.
