Use JSDoc comments for deprecated methods

While developing a node for n8n, I found the this.helpers.request is deprecated, but I think other methods are as well, so instead we should be using httpRequest.

Would it be of use for the community to use the JSDoc comments with the @deprecated tag to mark these methods?
Example:

	/**
	* @deprecated Use `httpRequest()` instead
	*/
        request:....;

This way the code is self guiding the developer, what do you think?

Hey @mcmaxter,

That is not a bad idea, I will check our internal feature board and see if we already have a note for it, if not I will add if.

Hey @mcmaxter,

Will do, Interestingly enough I noticed that we had an internal ticket opened for moving away from JSDoc so I am not entirely sure what will happen with this one.

Well @jon any alternative to JSDoc would do it as long as it helps :slight_smile:

Let us know what’s decided, to jump in.
