Variables section not available on selfhosted, npm n8n

Hello there! I’ve been using n8n for some time, and now I’m jumping on using it directly as an npm app (installed using the instructions here: npm | n8n Docs)

Unfortunately, I’m having some functionality limitation, that I was not hitting through using it with docker. When I navigate to the variables section, I hit the following:

no bug, n8n is free for the most part, but some features require you upgrade to a paid account. This is one of those features that require payment to unlock. I typically use google sheets to store variables that I need to reference since I don’t pay for it.

Did you have a paid license?
