Very strange issue with €-sign

Hi,

I want to replace “EUR” in a string with the €-sign, but I’m not succeeding in this (simple) transformation.

The strange thing is that replacing by a $-sign, with exactly the same code however is possible:

Any idea how to resolve this?

Thanks a lot!

It looks like your topic is missing some important information. Could you provide the following if applicable.

  • n8n version:
  • Database (default: SQLite):
  • n8n EXECUTIONS_PROCESS setting (default: own, main):
  • Running n8n via (Docker, npm, n8n cloud, desktop app):
  • Operating system:

Did you turn it to be an expression?
Looks like the euro one isn’t treating it as an expression where dollar one is.

This seems to be a frontend only issue in the expression preview component, likely due to how we parse the syntax tree in codemirror for unicode characters. I’ve brought this up with the team, and we’ll investigate further.
