I’m trying to set up a Wait Node** in n8n that waits until 24 hours before an appointment time, but it doesn’t seem to work as expected. Instead of properly waiting, it executes immediately or behaves inconsistently.
How can I make a Wait Node to trigger before even happens 24 hours?
It sounds like you are trying to use the Wait node as a calendar service. That doesn’t sound like a scalable or reliable approach to me. Have you considered just wiring in something like Google Calendar? There’s a trigger node for “Event Started” so you could just make “reminder” events that occur 24 hours before the appointment times.
I recently found https://reminders-api.com/ which works exactly how I would want it to (no polling, just give it a webhook url for a callback at the scheduled time or on an interval.). However, that site look very bare bones and new, so I would probably try to find something else that works like that, but is more established as a company/service.
