Why do some weekly top discussions not load or update consistently when browsing?

Hey everyone,
I wanted to check if anyone else has been experiencing something similar while browsing the weekly top discussions here.

Sometimes when I go through the trending or top weekly posts, a few threads either don’t load completely or seem to take longer than usual to display replies. In some cases, switching between topics or opening multiple discussions makes things feel a bit inconsistent, like the content isn’t updating properly unless I refresh.

While trying to figure out what might be causing this, I came across something through a discord server during a conversation, which made me think it could be related to browser setup, caching, or even how dynamic content is handled on the platform.

I’m also wondering if this might have something to do with session timing, extensions interfering, or how frequently the “top” section refreshes its data. Has anyone else noticed similar behavior or found ways to make browsing smoother and more consistent?

Would really appreciate any suggestions or shared experiences. Thanks!

This doesn’t sound like expected browsing behavior to me.

I’d first test the forum in an incognito window and in Discourse safe mode, because extensions, cached assets, or theme/component issues can interfere with dynamic loading. If it works there, that points much more to a browser-side issue than to the weekly top view itself.

One small Discourse-specific detail: the weekly Top view can sometimes fall back to a broader period if there aren’t enough topics for that week, which may make the page feel inconsistent, but incomplete loading/replies usually suggests a client-side issue first.

If possible, I’d also check the browser console for errors when it happens.
