A simpler way to create your own n8n community node

Hey everyone :waving_hand:

I’ve been working on something for people who want to create and publish their own n8n community nodes without getting lost in all the little details.

That’s NativeShip.

The idea is simple: make the whole node creation process easier, while still following n8n’s official guidelines and keeping the final code in your own GitHub and npm accounts.

It helps with things like:

  • Creating the node structure

  • Building and validating the node

  • Previewing how the node will look inside n8n

  • Preparing the repository for publishing

  • Making changes and rebuilding when needed

I originally made this because creating a good community node involves much more than just writing the code. There are a lot of small things to get right.

So instead of solving those things from scratch every time, I wanted to put them into one simple workflow.

NativeShip is now live:

If you’re creating an n8n community node, I’d genuinely love to hear what part of the process you find the most frustrating. That’s the kind of feedback that can make NativeShip better.
