Access n8n's SQLite externally

I want to connect our BI platform to n8n’s database so I can analyze executions and workflows.
Is it possible with SQLite or should I switch to PostgreSQL?

Hey @Kasuto, SQLite can be a bit picky when it comes to concurrent access, though I think this affects writing, not reading. So switching your database would not be required simply to read data. The n8n SQLite database file can be accessed through a number of tools, the simplest being the sqlite3 command line client. A bit more comfortable would be graphical clients like DB Browser for SQLite.

That said, you might still want to consider switching to PostgreSQL if your BI platform can connect directly to PostgreSQL but not to SQLite.

The database structure wouldn’t change and is explained here.
