Access to shared Excel-files

Is it possible to get access to shared excel-files via n8n?
At the moment I am using the Excel-Note and get access to my own files.

Not sure how it works on the microsoft 365 side, but for google as long as I have shared access my n8n can access it as can my clients.

Maybe just run a test with a shared file via online microsoft 365 (Ask a friend or family member to share a document with them and try and see if they can see an update you do via an n8n flow).

It should hopefully work, but I’m not a Microsoft pro to be honest. Google wise for sure it works as thats how I work with my clients as well :slight_smile:

Hi I had the same question and was curious if you were able to get this to work? We have a shared excel file on our internal sharepoint site that I would like to include in my workflows but haven’t been able to figure out how.

I had contact to the microsoft - support. They checkt it with three support-levels und declarated as “by design”.

Unfortunately I only work with files, that are shared in the same company. I think I is because of sharepoint and onedrive differences.

So finally, with n8n and microsoft it is only possible to automate the files of your company.
