Activating business license key on dev environment

Hi everyone,

I’m getting a license-related error when trying to deploy n8n with in our development environment and need some clarification about licensing requirements.

## The Error

Could not activate license[license SDK] license activation failed: reservation ID is no longer valid[license SDK] Skipping renewal on init: license cert is not initialized

## Current Setup

- **n8n Version**: 1.107.4

- **License**: Business

## Questions

1.Does this error mean we need a separate license per deployment/environment?

2.How are you supposed to test everything before deploying to prod?

We run critical workflows on production and we want to test out every new version before deploying to production and it will be crazy expensive to get another Business license just for this.

Hi there, we are also considering using n8n for critical workflows and want this feature. Buying another license just to create this topology seems not fair imo. Couldn’t come across this information in the docs.
This is a deal breaker for us. I am joining @alvarotaxdown with the question

Pricing docs says that it should be possible to use in as many instances as possible but it doesn’t work for us.

I don’t know what happened but now the instances are able to validate the license and are starting up.
