Activation Key Error After Migration Between Platforms

Problem Description

I’m experiencing an activation error when trying to set up my n8n instance on a new hosting platform. The error message is:

“Activation failed

Activation key has already been used on this instance”

Migration History

I have migrated my n8n setup multiple times across different platforms:

  1. First: Railway (self-hosted)

  2. Second: n8n Cloud (official cloud service)

  3. Current: Hostinger (self-hosted)

Each migration was necessary due to various technical and cost considerations.

What I’ve Tried

  • Used a completely different email address for getting new verification code

  • Created a fresh n8n installation on Hostinger

  • The error persists regardless of the email used

Technical Details

  • Current Platform: Hostinger (self-hosted)

  • n8n Version: [the newest version]

Could you please help resolve this activation issue? I believe the problem is related to the activation key being flagged as “already used” due to my previous installations on Railway and n8n Cloud.

Would it be possible to:

  1. Reset the activation status for my account

  2. Issue a new activation key if needed

  3. Clear any instance conflicts in your system

I have all my workflow backups and am ready to start fresh if necessary, but I need to resolve this licensing issue first.
