Allow AI Agent to Edit Local Files?

I’m trying to allow an AI Agent node to edit a file on my local machine, but it doesn’t seem like there is the requisite access or a tool to do so. Does this functionality not exist?

Information on your n8n setup

  • n8n version: 1.112.6
  • Database (default: SQLite): default
  • n8n EXECUTIONS_PROCESS setting (default: own, main): default
  • Running n8n via (Docker, npm, n8n cloud, desktop app): npm
  • Operating system: MacOS

Hey @Nicklaus_Roach i don’t think there’s a pre built tool for an ai agent to directly edit a file on your local machine.
