Anyone has similar issue when setting up the chat and Claude via API. I have credits in the balance (30), so that should not be the problem. I read about the issue when setting up the Claude credentials (happens to me as well), but for the life of me i can’t figure why it does not communicate.
Is this a known bug? Any fix?

yeah we’ve seen this too. could be a few things — wrong api key format (sometimes copy-paste adds whitespace), organization vs personal api key, or token corruption. try regenerating a fresh api key in your anthropic console. also check you’re using the right plan tier (api credits vs free trial). if it still doesn’t work, worth checking n8n logs to see what error anthropic returns — that usually points to the real issue.
I also have the “Couldn’t connect with these settings” error in a Basic LLM Chain node with an Anthropic model attached. But the node works, API calls are fine and my credits get balanced.

Does using a HTTP node gives same output? Also make sure you have sufficient credits and billing attached.. And the primary node of anthropic should work with that.. let me know about the HTTP node.
