Can not connect to vector databases from n8n cloud

Hi team,

My organization has provided me with access to an n8n Cloud instance, and I’ve been experimenting with a few integrations. While attempting to connect to a vector database, I encountered an error when adding credentials.

I’ve tried both Pinecone and Supabase, but I’m seeing the same issue in both cases. Could you help clarify whether this might be a limitation or configuration issue with our n8n Cloud setup, or if there’s something I might be missing on my end?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Best regards,

Barnita

welcome to the n8n community @Barnita_Roy_Choudhur
I’d first suspect an environment/network restriction rather than the vector databases themselves. Since you’re on an organization-managed n8n Cloud instance, outbound access, region restrictions, allowlists, or workspace-level permissions may be controlled by your admin. I’d also double-check that the API keys/project URL are correct and pasted without extra spaces, but if both providers fail the same way, it’s worth asking your internal n8n admin to review workspace permissions and whether external connections are restricted on that instance.

Thank you for reply.

I also suspected the same, but wanted to double check. Now i will reach out to admins. Thanks!

Hi @Barnita_Roy_Choudhur , Welcome!
Can you show the Pinecone flow where it causes this error? (does this happen with credentials?]
