Cannot duplicate or add nodes

Get an error when duplicating a node in 1.70.1
Correction. Cannot even add a new node.

Is a fairly recent n8n install, and just updated it. Seems like it is introduced in 1.70 with this?

Reverted to 1.69.2 and it is fixed.

Information on your n8n setup

  • Database (default: SQLite): postgres
  • n8n EXECUTIONS_PROCESS setting (default: own, main): main (time to remove this from the list)
  • Running n8n via (Docker, npm, n8n cloud, desktop app): Docker
  • Operating system: Ubuntu

Hey @BramKn , I just checked that and it seems to be working for me. However, I did think it didn’t work at first as the duplicated and inserted nodes are far apart from the initial mouse pointer location.

Try “Zoom to fit” to see if the nodes get into the focus for you.

Hi @ihortom

Did you also get the error though? As I would check the canvas if I simply didnt spot the nodes being created. But with this error I did not check the complete canvas.

I reverted to 1.69.2 to fix it for now as I needed to continue on these flows.

No, I wasn’t getting any errors. Everything appears to be fine for me.

Were you working on some older workflow already built before the upgrade when you see those behavours after the upgrade? I wonder it was somehow dependant on that specific workflow but otherwise would work when building a new workflow.

Hey @BramKn , I have created an internal ticket to investigate this issue further.

Hey @BramKn , we suspect you are using an (old) browser version that does not support crypto. The team will work on adding polyfills to prevent this issue for such use cases.

Should all be fairly new. Will also do some more checks when I get the chance.
Sadly a client server so cannot simply update again so might setup a second server and see if it has the same issue.
