Can't use expressions to choose a Google Sheets column to fill

Describe the problem/error/question

Some time ago I was able to choose a Google Sheets column dynamically for update. This made possible to collect data every day and save in a separate column

But recently I found out that I can’t choose a column dynamically. They are offered as is. Is it possible now to choose a column via expressions?

I think, this behavior was introduced close to 0.236.3

• n8n version: 0.236.3
• Running n8n via (Docker, npm, n8n cloud, desktop app): docker compose

Hi @artildo Can you provide an example workflow/sheet where you’re seeing this? I’m curious as to what exactly would cause this behaviour

@EmeraldHerald That is simply how the new version of the node behaves.

@artildo What you can do is to select under “Mapping Colum Mode” → “Map Automatically”. Then you add a Set-Node in front of it and there you can then Set the Column Names + Values dynamically. In that mode, it will work then again as the node worked for the first few years.
