Clarification on Sustainable Use License for client-hosted consulting & retainer

Hi n8n team,

I’ve reviewed the Sustainable Use License and I want to confirm if my planned service offering is compliant.

  • My clients will self-host their own n8n instances (on their own servers or cloud accounts).

  • I will provide consulting for workflow building, setup assistance, and monthly retainer support (maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting).

  • I will have login credentials only for their n8n instance and possibly their hosting provider for the maintenance, but I will not host n8n myself or resell access.

From my reading of the license, this seems allowed under:

  • “Providing consulting services related to n8n…”

  • “Supporting n8n… by setting it up or maintaining it on an internal company server.”

Can you please confirm that this arrangement is permitted under the Sustainable Use License?

Thanks in advance!

Yes it is allowed👍
