Hi,
Hopefully this question is posted in the right place and isn’t answered in the forum, docs, etc (I’ve looked).
It seems VAT/tax/GST is charged when buying a n8n subscription and there is probably a invoice issued reflecting the tax charged, right? (Yes, I haven’t purchased a subscription yet). The amount and type of tax (VAT/GST) charged will be based on the residence of the purchaser. Is VAT charged for purchases from South Africa? In other words, is n8n a South African registered VAT vendor?
Also, as the n8n subscription pricing is in EUR, the appropriate forex rate will be applied by the purchaser’s bank for the transaction amount to be deducted in the local currency from the purchaser’s account. Will the n8n tax invoice only reflect amounts (total exc VAT, VAT, total inc VAT) in EUR or also included the local currency, ZAR?
The latter point is a legislative requirement in South Africa for VAT registered purchasers and sellers, even if the seller is resident outside of the country. For the purchaser to submit the invoice with VAT returns to claim the input VAT back, the invoice must include the local currency (as well). Do n8n invoices include the local currency?
