Hi team,
I completed the course and took the quiz twice. I passed the workflow section with 89% but failed the theory section both times, even after revisiting the lessons and double-checking each answer. This has been a frustrating use of time.
What feels off in the theory quiz:
- Several questions read as ambiguous or not aligned to the course wording. Examples include “core nodes,” activation requirements, and “reasons for node errors.”
- No post-submission feedback. I cannot see what I missed or learn the correct option.
- “Select all that apply” items are unforgiving and opaque. One slip fails the whole item with no guidance.
- The course content and quiz phrasing do not always match, which turns it into guesswork.
What would help:
- Show correct answers or at least flag which selected choices were wrong with a brief rationale.
- Tighten question wording and mirror the exact terminology taught in the lessons.
- Publish a canonical list of core nodes and a simple matrix of what counts as a trigger for activation.
- Add one authoritative Code node example with the required return structure.
- Provide a review mode that lets learners compare their answers to the key after each attempt.
A note on learning UX:
I also use Make.com’s academy and guides. Their lessons are highly modular, the quiz items mirror the lesson wording, and every check step gives immediate, actionable feedback. The path from lesson to quiz is very direct and intuitive. Bringing those strengths into n8n Academy would lift completion rates and confidence.
I want to finish and get the badge. Right now the theory section blocks progress without teaching why an answer is right or wrong. Please improve this so learners are not stuck repeating attempts without useful feedback.
Thanks for taking a look.
