Hello, I just switched from make.com to n8n 2 months ago, in make there are some nodes that I had to struggle to do in n8n. However, to continue with n8n, I still accept to find a little detour.
There are many needs in creating frames for photos and videos, making thumbnails for articles and youtube videos. I found that node image, if it is a little flexible, can do a lot of those jobs. However, node has some limitations, I hope it will be updated.
All text, logo image, avatar, content, author, blurred background image, icon,… in this demo video are created from node bannerbear combined with make.com
But bannerbear is too expensive for those with low needs so it cannot be popular, I used node image of n8n to do that.
However, the n8n image node lacks some of the following features, I really hope my comments can be accepted:
- Borders of text, text. The need to use borders for text is very high, I hope to have this option added for the text attribute in the image node. If possible, add other basic effects such as shadow, text blur, …
- Border of the object, when embedding an object, the border of the image node seems to surround the frame, cannot surround the object, for example, I want a white border to highlight the avatar
- Color effects for the background, we need the background to change color from one color to another
- Photo crop effect, the input is usually rectangular or square, please add the option to crop photos in oval, circle, star, square,… so we can crop an area of large photos when we stack photos on top of each other.
