Execution Details in Text Format on n8n UI

It would be really nice to have a "Text Log in the Execution Screen" on the n8n UI.

I would put it on the right side of the visual workflow view, in a new sidebar, which can be opened if needed.

When working with large workflows, loading them is quite a hassle in the browser and then zooming in and out is taking a long time, even on big hardware systems because of the browsers cache limitations.

Even if you get the workflow loaded and if it has 100 nodes, it is much easier to check a well marked text log, then visually navigating the workflow in a laggy UI to exactly see what happened.

Great to hear that it is exactly what you were looking for! You should actually find that information in the code I posted above. There is the “limit” query parameter that you can simply set to whatever you want.

To display past executions (at least the ones which got saved to the database) the UI uses the endpoint /rest/executions/:id Be however aware that this is not an officially supported API and is currently only meant for the Editor-UI.
