I built n8n-nodes-getyoutubetranscript, a community node for pulling YouTube data straight into your workflows: video transcripts, video/channel/playlist search, channel latest videos, handle resolution, and a credits check, 8 actions in total. It also works as a tool for the AI Agent node, so an agent can look up a transcript or search a channel on its own mid-conversation.
Install: Settings > Community Nodes > install n8n-nodes-getyoutubetranscript. You’ll need a free API key from getyoutubetranscript.com (100 credits, no card required).
AI Agent use case: wire the node in as a tool on an AI Agent, and the agent can pull a transcript or search a channel whenever the conversation calls for it, no separate lookup step needed.
