Give our Assistant character and help find the right name 🚀

Hey n8n Community ,

We’re super excited to share that we’re working on an AI assistant that will be integrated into your favorite automation product. This assistant will be like a little expert sitting on your shoulder, ready to help you navigate, automate, and make the most out of n8n.

But here’s the thing—we need your help to give this assistant the perfect name!

We’re looking for a name that is:

  • Short and Memorable: Easy to pronounce and stick in your mind.
  • Wisdom-Inspired: Conveys a sense of intelligence and guidance.
  • Friendly and Approachable: Reflects the assistant’s role in making automation accessible to everyone.
  • Tech-Savvy: Something that resonates with our tech-oriented community, maybe even with a nod to iconic games, movies, or tech culture.

We’ve been tossing around some ideas like “Ada”, “Q” or even “M8”, but we know that you might have some even better suggestions!

So, here’s where you come in:

  1. Share Your Ideas: Drop your name suggestions in this thread.
  2. Tell Us Why: If you can, let us know why you think your suggestion would be a great fit.
  3. Vote and Discuss: Feel free to upvote and discuss your favorite suggestions from others. Please note that the most upvoted idea will not automatically win.

We can’t wait to hear your creative ideas!

Cheers,
Nik from n8n

I had a slight variation of this. I always pronounce n8n as just “innate”, so something like
inNate
or
'Nate with the apostrophe in front to signify it is a short version of a longer word.

I think a good name would be: Hello or Hellobrain.

: D

I’m surprised no one has recommended Terminator ‘T8’ or Hal.
Or theme on a butler to help you. Alfred, but spelled A.I. Fred. or Al Fred

ndy is short, memorable, sounds like Andy with a hidden A. Andy resembles a side helper, a companion, also starts with a N like n8n.

Navi reminded me of this - very appropriate too! (Now we just need an n8n combat system  )

Oh no the nostalgia kicks in! How about Navi[8] which reads a little like navigate and tells you that Navi told you to listen 8 times already

Could also be Navig8

“Nayten” phonetically sounds like n8n. It captures the “n” sound followed by a similar-sounding “ayt” and finishes with the “n” sound…

the more I think about it the more I like the idea of something simple like Navi
