Gmail campaign sender: Bulk-send emails and follow up automatically if no reply

Hello I am new to n8n but know my way around Python, crewai, langflow etc. so usualy can find my way around things. I have tried to use this Gmail campaign sender. I use hosted version of n8n and have starter subscription upgraded to latest version beta, tried stable and thought it might be fixed in latest one but it is all the same in last 4 versions. I complete the setup, copy sheet, update link and is supposed to work but it doesn’t.
Set message template is deactivated so I activate that. When I run test I get error “Error executing workflow with item at index 0”. I checked error and it was something about item should be replaced with first () . Then variables are recognized. However, that just brings me to the next error that it can’t read variables from part of the flow that is not yet executed.
Did anyone successfully implemented this template with current version? There has to be something changed since the template is out as instructions are simple and straightforward.

Would appreciate if anyone would quickly test that template.

Thanks!

Hi @Anderson_Smith

Thanks for posting here and welcome to the community! :tada:

Could you share your workflow ideally with some dummy data to demonstrate where the error occurs? That could help to debug it

Thanks!

Hi Ria,

Thank you for response. It is literally that Gmail campaign sender template. The only thing I change is to add my connections to gmail and google sheet. All of that is completed. I run template as is and just doesn’t work. Can you try using that template and let me know if it works for you?
