How do I share a workflow? The documentation doesn't relate to product

I want to share a workflow with another member.

I’ve just upgraded my cloud plan from Start to Pro to “Collaborate on workflows” as per n8n pricing

However, I can’t see how to share the workflows that I’ve created.

I’ve looked in the documentation and found this page

It says:

  1. Open the workflow you want to share.
  2. Select Share.
  3. In Add users, find and select the users you want to share with.
  4. Select Save.

I don’t see the Share option anywhere. Please let me know how to go about doing this. :confused:

I’ve found other posts, where it says it’s not possible, but I don’t understand that that can be the case given that the higher plans advertise this feature, and the documentation also says how to do this. Here is one such post from @Thibaut_Cellier:


The “Share” button is supposed to be on the top right of the Workflow editor.

If you don’t see this button it is most likely because you are running an old n8n version on your cloud instance (before the feature was introduced).

Can you let me know which version you are running? You can find this information on the bottom right of the Settings menu. If you are running a version below 209 you will need to upgrade your instance.

Thank you for the quick response. That’s worked.

I was on 0.200.1.

I’ve now upgraded to 0.221.2.

I can now share my workflows.
