How to create custom nodes using starter project n8n-nodes-starter

Describe the problem/error/question

We’re creating custom nodes using the (GitHub - n8n-io/n8n-nodes-starter: Example starter module for custom n8n nodes.) repo and following this documentation.

We faced issues linking the repo with npm, so we used pnpm instead. After linking with pnpm, the custom nodes don’t show up in the n8n UI. Could you please guide us on the correct steps to link our local repo with n8n UI, or provide updated documentation for linking with pnpm.

Hey @Vibhor_Bansal,

Welcome to the community :raised_hands:

Do you see any errors when starting n8n or does the node just fail to appear?

Hi team,
Thank you for your response, we are not seeing any error it just fail to appear.

It would be helpful if you can provide the docs for pnpm.

Regards,
Vibhor Bansal
