How to use n8n for Business without an n8n Business License

Hi all, I have recently had the idea of creating an n8n workflow where users could essentially connect to API’s in order for an automation to complete a certain task (In this case a type of AI agent). Because it is impossible for me to simply do this cost free for like 10 users, I will have to implement some sort of paid plan.

I have recently been told however, that this will require an n8n business license. However, this is only a small scale project and there is no chance in a million years I will be able to afford or justify 667 euros a month for the business license.

I was wondering if anyone would have any advice or suggestions on how I could go about doing this as this is more of a passion project than anything.

You can only sell your workflows and your intelligence to any number of customers.

But if you want to host n8n and give access to other users, that’s clearly a license needed!

There is no way that you host the n8n collect credentials and charge money.

So, simple as it is, you can offer your “services”, since n8n can be self hosted by anyone.

Hey :waving_hand:, maintenance is the keyword.

Sometimes, something, somewhere will break in any cycle, soo…. human is still an important piece in automations.
