Installing community node creates duplicate node

Describe the problem/error/question

I have created and published a community node:

When I ask users to install it to their n8n self hosted by entering “n8n-nodes-scrapeninja” in Settings → Community nodes, for some reason, ScrapeNinja is duplicated and now users have two identical ScrapeNinja nodes, both has same operations.

I am wondering if this is a bug inside my node or is it something happening in n8n core?

Information on your n8n setup

  • n8n version: 1.74.3
  • Database (default: SQLite): SQLite
  • n8n EXECUTIONS_PROCESS setting (default: own, main):
  • Running n8n via (Docker, npm, n8n cloud, desktop app): Docker
  • Operating system: Ubuntu

Hi there,

I have seen the same bahavior. Very weird indeed, I didn’t care too much to add a topic. Thanks for doing so, it of course does need to get sorted.

Maybe @marcus can comment on this topic? Thanks!

No need to tag someone specific, they n8n team will have a look when they get around to it.
