Installing on Linode

Machine Type:

My Ubuntu 20.04 LTS Profile – GRUB 2 * /dev/sda - Ubuntu 20.04 LTS Disk

  • /dev/sdb - 512 MB Swap Image

Hello,

I tried to install on Linode Docker image with Ubuntu 20. I used the docs for digital ocen since both clouds are usually the same but i am getting an error when trying to access the subdomain.

Error: ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED

Does anyone know what I need to do to install on Linode docker image. This is their image template https://www.linode.com/marketplace/apps/linode/docker/

Information on your n8n setup

  • n8n version:
  • Database you’re using (default: SQLite):
  • Running n8n with the execution process [own(default), main]:
  • Running n8n via [Docker, npm, n8n.cloud, desktop app]:

This might not be the PERFECT answer you were looking for but I was able to get N8N to run on Linode using a Nanode 1 GB running Debian 11. I didn’t use a docker but just a regular full install.

Hi @somegirlmia, welcome to the community :tada:

I am sorry to hear you’re having trouble. ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED could suggest a problem with either the caddy web server from the docs not running or not publicly listening on HTTP/HTTPS ports 80 and 443.

Can you confirm if you’re getting any response when using curl directly on your server? The success case would be fairly unreadable HTML (example below):

If this works, the problem would be between your server and your browser, perhaps a different firewall configuration on Linode than on DO.

Will there be a linode one click app soon?
