Is cost based on the number of workflows for Enterprise Edition Self-hosting

Are the number of active workflows limited based on what you pay for Enterprise Edition when self-hosting? I’ve missed something regarding what is meant by “unlimited active workflows”.

I’ve revised a quote but told the cost is for a license for 10 workflows. I quote, “Our Enterprise pricing for on-premise deployment starts at approximately €10k* per year, which includes 10 active workflows.”

The pricing page states both community edition and enterprise have unlimited workflows. I further understood limits are based on the client infrastructure. The small print only points out that each trigger in an active workflow counts as an active workflow - namely 3 triggers count as 3 active workflows - https://plans.n8n.io/

'* I’m not clear what other factors the quote is based on.

  • n8n version:
Community Edition self-hosted (would like to upgrade to Enterprise)

  • Database
    PostGres

  • Operating system:
    Google cloud Kubernetes

It looks like your topic is missing some important information. Could you provide the following if applicable.

  • n8n version:
  • Database (default: SQLite):
  • n8n EXECUTIONS_PROCESS setting (default: own, main):
  • Running n8n via (Docker, npm, n8n cloud, desktop app):
  • Operating system:

Hey @daverussell , you are better off asking those questions our Sales team. The support team are not involved in the cost negotiations.

The Community Edition has unimited workflows, the Enterprise Edition can have unlimited workflows too. However, it all comes down to restrictions if you want to get a discount on enterprice license.

Active workflows implies those you have activated by pushing the “toggle” to the right. Moreover, if the workflow has more than one trigger (excluding manual), the number of such triggers would contribute to the total number of workflows.
