I’m currently preparing for the n8n certification and have been working hard on the theory section. Despite trying every possible approach — reviewing documentation, practicing workflows, and even asking ChatGPT for help — I keep scoring around 69% in the theory part.
I feel like I understand the practical workflows well (my workflow section scores are much higher), but the theory questions sometimes trip me up, especially around:
- Differences between core nodes (e.g., IF vs Switch)
- How code nodes should return data
- Trigger node rules and node error causes
I would really appreciate if anyone could:
- Share tips or resources specifically for n8n theory questions
- Explain tricky concepts that commonly cause confusion
- Recommend practice tests or study guides
- Or share their own experience passing the theory section
