I have heard about render.com that can allow you with github to use paid n8n features for lifetime, but this feels weird. I am wondering if n8n allows this?
Is it legal to do such things for example for a young student who wants to sell digital products to earn some money and he wants to use n8n for free for a lifetime?
As stated in their docs (Deploy n8n on Render – Render Docs), the ‘paid’ features don’t correlate with the n8n paid features. It’s about Render’s paid features for the n8n deployment instance.
both your n8n web service and Render Postgres database use free instance types, which have important limitations. Most critically, your free database will expire after 30 days.
After you’re up and running with n8n, you can upgrade these services to use paid instance types.
