The WhatsApp Business Cloud Send Message node remains indefinitely stuck on Execute step, with no error or log

Describe the problem/error/question
The WhatsApp Business Cloud node with the “Send message” action remains stuck indefinitely when I click on “Execute step”. No data appears in OUTPUT, no error message is displayed, and no execution is recorded in the Executions tab (counter remains at 0/1000).
The credential is validated (“Connection tested successfully”). The “Sender Phone Number” field is automatically filled with my Meta test number, which proves that the API connection is working at the credential level.
All node fields are correctly filled in (Sender Phone Number, Recipient Phone Number in international format without +, MessageType Text, Text Body).
I have independently verified that Meta is working: sending the same test message from the Meta developer interface arrives instantly on my WhatsApp. So the problem is not on Meta’s side.
What is the error message (if any)?

Hi @BriceBriceBriceBrice Welcome!
Execute step also runs the nodes before it to build its input, so if the WhatsApp node is wired to a WhatsApp Trigger, n8n starts that trigger first and leaves it listening for Meta to call the test webhook. The send node never runs, which is why you get no output, no error and no execution.
To test the send node on its own:
Click the connection going into the WhatsApp node and delete it.
Add a Manual Trigger node (search for manual in the nodes panel) and connect it to the WhatsApp node.
Open the WhatsApp node and click Execute step.
It should send straight away. Reconnect the trigger once you are done testing.
The 0/1000 counter only tracks production executions, manual runs from the editor never count towards it, so 0 there is normal.
If it still spins but the message does arrive on your phone, post your n8n version and how you are hosting it, that is a different cause. Types of executions | Build | n8n Docs
Thank you so much! Your solution worked perfectly. Indeed, by replacing the WhatsApp Trigger with a Manual Trigger to test Send message alone, everything executes correctly and the message arrives properly on my WhatsApp. I really appreciate your help, it unblocked me after being stuck for a long time.
