Opportunity

​This is a full time (30 - 40 hours per week), by remote position. We are a 100% virtual company with a diverse team of people working all over the globe.

We are a software games company turned mobile and web application developer. In addition to having AR, VR, and Games, we also have regular and ongoing AI, Process Automation, and Full Stack web projects.

Job Description

Since we are a small software development company where everyone works by remote, you will need to supply your own tools, meaning a computer that is connected to a stable high speed internet.

As a N8N Automation Engineer, you’ll focus on understanding our organizational goals and automation specifications, and on implementing them efficiently within a self-hosted instance of N8N. Your expertise in automation across systems, combined with experience in deploying and managing N8N, will drive more efficient operations across the studio. You will assist in defining and implementing custom nodes within our N8N instance, creating prompts to leverage LLMs within workflows, and developing a robust automation framework. You wold be working directly for the Director of Engineering to streamline and improve the teams processes and capabilities by utilizing and transforming N8N to suit our targeted needs.

The N8N Automation Engineer must be available online for at least 4 hours a day overlapping with 9 AM to 3 PM Pacific time.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 100% fluent written English and well spoken English. Documents must be able to pass as if written by a native US English speaker has written them. Spoken English must be good enough to quickly and easily communicate with the team.
  • Expert knowledge of N8N.io, including self-hosting. Lists are your primary way of thinking about workflows, and you know how to avoid any rough edges and make workflows that sing.
  • Experienced with Typescript or Javascript, and the ability to work with Code nodes and other advanced N8N expressions
  • Comfort with high level server management and deployment. Can deploy, configure, and maintain N8N self-hosted edition.
  • Familiarity with modern LLM based AI, including prompt engineering, embeddings, and fine tuning.
  • Detail Oriented
  • Fondness for software development or mobile games
  • Ability to self start and complete tasks without frequent check in

Additional Functions

  • The ability to understand high level automation requirements, ask clarifying questions, and transform them into a robust N8N automation
  • Clear written and verbal communications in English; additional languages a plus.

Ideal Candidate

  • Typescript development experience, familiar with N8N internals and able to extend them
  • A history of working with geographically-dispersed teams
  • System and flow oriented; Actively considers and handles edge cases and errors within processes

Work Environment

Robot Sea Monster is a fully remote company with team members across the globe. We expect you to provide appropriate computer, peripherals, and software needed for this position, in addition to high-speed internet, mic, and camera required for video conferencing and voice calls. Robot Sea Monster will provide access to all team systems and any proprietary software or hardware required for a project.

You will need to be available via Google Meet, Slack, and email during designated work hours. Additional hours may be required when we need to meet project deadlines and for periodic client meetings.
