I’m new to n8n and still learning how to build and test workflows properly. I want to improve my hands-on skills, but I am not sure which platform or setup is best for regular practice—self-hosting, cloud, or any other recommended option.
If there are any good learning resources, beginner-friendly practice environments, or community suggestions that can help me get real practical experience, please guide me.
Also, if anyone here from India has experience with a setup that works well (for example VPS options, self-hosting, or cost-effective cloud services), I would appreciate your suggestions.
I think this the right and straight way to get quickly hand on n8n with their official courses(beginner and advanced, text or video) here :
You will have a great time (about 3-4h) with core functionality of n8n(fetch,save,process, display) so basically all needs for data.
I would start with Cloud option since it will handle credentials in a way that user friendly, if you have some basic skills, you can use Docker (recommended) to install locally, but attention, with no skills you will encounter issue with configurations and need tunnel etc…
