MAJOR System Glitch Last Night!

Last night I was working on a highly complex 122-node workflow and all of a sudden I saw all sorts of major problems. Some of the colored notes I had placed and stretched across the screen from left to right suddenly were all the same color, the text had changes and width changed. Some of the nodes that were connected suddenly were not connected. Many of the nodes became red. Now when i go into the nodes, everything is blank. It took many many many hours to configure everything carefully and now it’s all &%^@'d up.

Did anyone else experience this disastrous glitch?

Are regular backups taken throughout the day?

Hi brentnhunter,

I also work with complex workflows, although I haven’t encountered this specific problem, I have run into similar issues in the past, where I spent a lot of time building automations only to accidentally break things. From those experiences, I learned the importance of regularly backing up my work.

In situations where I didn’t have a backup and needed to recover, I found that the Executions section is really helpful. There, you can see the last time your workflow ran successfully. You can then copy that version of the workflow into a new one and save it as a backup.

I hope you’re able to restore your nodes and notes, and that this information proves useful. Greetings from Argentina! :argentina:

I am sorry to hear that you’ve lost your work. Maybe workflow history can help you travel back to the version that still makes sense.

Hi Simon!

Thanks for your reply. I’m looking at the Executions section now and can see the last version I had … trying to revert now. THANK YOU!!!
