Managing many workflows

Sup all
I’ve got problem with managing many workflows. There are some utilitarian flows, some flows only for one task and so on. It’s too hard to keep in mind info about each flow. How do you orginize it? Could you suggest something please? I know i can use tags, but i it’s still too hard to uderstand what is going on in my n8n. Also other colleagues don’t understang what is going on in my n8n…

It looks like your topic is missing some important information. Could you provide the following if applicable.

  • n8n version:
  • Database (default: SQLite):
  • n8n EXECUTIONS_PROCESS setting (default: own, main):
  • Running n8n via (Docker, npm, n8n cloud, desktop app):
  • Operating system:

HI @Hey_Man ,

Welcome to the community!

The best ways we have to organise workflows (before opening them) is to use Projects or tags. Some users also have naming conventions they’ll create to keep track of related workflows.

Now, to help make it clearer to colleagues what a workflow does, the best way I’ve found is to use the Sticky notes and write desciptions of what each node/group of nodes does.

Check this link, it may be what you are looking for.
