Microsoft Outlook Client authentication failed

Is there another solution at play here? I have clients who have logged into outlook on my behalf - I have to ask all of them to go through this again?

May i ask how you do this, as i seem to get error messages when i want to add new credentials

This might be the case unfortunately. I just did this with one of my clients (zoom call, remote control to have them authenticate) and re-tested my automations and it worked.

Hi @Jon

Can we make sure this issue doesn’t happen next year?

Hi BillyC,

Next year everything will be fine, It will be the year after but I have created a ticket so we can handle this a lot better. Part of the issue this time was we had to make a new application as well which meant it wasn’t just a secret change but also an app change which would have needed authentication to happen again.

Anyone else seeing the problem resurface again today around 13.30 CET?

works fine on my side, just tested it

Digging around we found that our problem spawned because when we click reconnect on a Microsoft Drive OAuth2 API credential, it discreetly shifts context to the currently logged in MS user:

This Is new to us and has a great potential as to destroy workflows and to establish unsolicited access to MS data between our users in n8n.

The behavior is similar for Microsoft Outlook OAuth2 API
