Describe the problem/error/question

I’m trying to get emails coming into a Microsoft 365 group read with the Outlook trigger.

What is the error message (if any)?

Forbidden - perhaps check your credentials?
Group Shard is used in non-Groups URI.

There is already an answer on the forum but I could not solve my problem.

Has anyone had a chance to do things like this before?

Information on your n8n setup

  • n8n version: 1.58.2 (Self Hosted)
  • Database (default: SQLite): SQLite
  • n8n EXECUTIONS_PROCESS setting (default: own, main):
  • Running n8n via (Docker, npm, n8n cloud, desktop app): Docker
  • Operating system: Ubuntu 24

This seems to be a Microsoft limitation…

An Office 365 group address can’t be used as shared mailbox address.
