How can we edit flows on a mobile or tablet
It looks like your topic is missing some important information. Could you provide the following if applicable.
- n8n version:
- Database (default: SQLite):
- n8n EXECUTIONS_PROCESS setting (default: own, main):
- Running n8n via (Docker, npm, n8n cloud, desktop app):
- Operating system:
n8n frontend is currently not designed for small screens or for touchscreens.
Some of the functionality works with large touchscreen displays, but for most part our current recommendation is to use a laptop/desktop screen with a mouse or a trackpad.

Yes I know that. But there are times when a mobile is needed to do a quick fix.
Sadly you cannot.
I have ran into this issue as well, luckily I always have a laptop nearby to do quick fixes.
What do you think is the root cause of it not being mobile friendly?
n8n doesn’t like touchscreens. It basically breaks the UI.
Also the size of the screen is going to be an issue to do anything really.
Even when using a 15" Samsung Tablet, its not about screen real estate. I just simple need to be able to zoom in and click on the nodes sometimes to edit a bit of text or whatever.
If I understood the problem of why it doesn’t like touchscreen, might be able to find a workaround.
Yeah that makes sense.
I don’t know why it doesn’t like touch screens it is simply the UI and libraries used probably. There is no real way around it as far as I know, unless you disable the touchscreen, but that will not help on a tablet of course.
yeah even using a stylus or writing implement doesn’t work either
I think it might be possible to fix touchscreen issues independently (and possibly much quicker) that making the layout responsive. but neither is on the roadmap right now.
I face the same issues on my personal n8n instance as well. But, we have so many other higher priority tasks, and so little time, that we don’t really know when we’ll get around to addressing touchscreen compatibility.
I have used a bluetooth mouse on a tablet to edit workflows, and that works fine.
