N8n Influencer scams

influencers pushing n8n cover it at a very high level. when I get to implement it, the process is cumbersome and I realise that the influencers are taking people for a ride… for example,

  1. if we link a google sheet, these influencers say you can make changes with natural language, whereas the node has to be configured manually at a field level. where to learn n8n the right way?
  2. if we have an ai agent comfigured and ask it to update the, paraneters of the agent or update the systems message

not to mention free workflows like Angie, personal assistant which unnecessarily complicates a simple workflow to process voice notes from Telegram, but never compiles or download the voice file. error will be theown because of simple non-conversion to binary object. how are these kinds of workflows even approved?

now the tl:dr - is there a genuine source from which I can implement actually working workflows.

Hi @Buggy_Sacman

Welcome to the community!
Sorry about your experience. But this is how influencers work, they make you excited about something in a short video or whatever that doesn’t show the full picture.
n8n has written and video courses. This is a great starting point.
There is a lot of good videos out there as well, but it is important to know the basics before you dive straight into agents and such.

I feel that too.

As excited as I am for n8n being recognised as the best tool out there, I really dislike that nonsense content. Especially those useless AI Agents being promoted.

Influencers being influencers.

Check out the courses of n8n, I think they’re pretty good, they start from here: Level one: Introduction | n8n Docs
